Kids Bunk Room

Last week I kicked off our home tour in the kitchen . Today we are headed upstairs to share a super fun and creative space with you. Have you ever felt like you needed to live in a space for a while before knowing what to do with it? Well that’s exactly what happened in this space - The original intent for this room was another guest bedroom, however, after spending only a few months in the house, I convinced Nick that the girls needed a space to call their own. The space above the garage that is now known as the bunk room is full of nooks and crannies where the girls love to play hide and seek, read, and play in for hours.   With the help of Pinterest, I was able to design a set of bunk beds to float in the middle of the room. With a full size bed on the bottom and a twin on top, it’s the perfect spot for sleepovers. The X railing is the same detail that has been utilized throughout the house. What you can’t see is the full set of built in bookcases on the left side of the bunk bed, perfect for toy and blanket storage. This room is not only my kids’ favorite spot for sleepovers but also where they play, craft and just hangout.   The bathroom is equally as fun with the penny tile floor and striped shower walls. We kept it coastal and casual, perfect for our little mermaids. C lick to purchase our rope mirror  Click to purchase our bathmat Click to purchase our bedding The Details---
