Master Bedroom Reveal
Filled with natural light this is space is the ultimate oasis. Our bedroom is one of the few spaces in the house that isn’t painted white. While still neutral in color I love how it makes the tongue and groove ceiling and window trim pop. When we were deigning the space I knew I wanted something that was elegant, light and bright, but still cozy. It’s not an overly big room, 16x18 feet in size, however with the 12 foot vaulted ceilings it feels plenty spacious. We opted for a console instead of a typical dresser and made sure to incorporate plenty of coastal details. BED Our bed is one of the few pieces of furniture that made it from the old house, its a California king from Restoration Hardware in their Belgian Linen fabric. BEDDING The bedding is different hues of classic white which gives the room a crisp look and still easy to keep clean. THE ACCESSORIES Living on the water I wanted to bring in a few coastal elements; I filled the clam shell with an orchid and laid drift wood on the bottom of the console. The urchin wall decor added texture to the wall and accentuated the height of the ceiling. THE FAN Finding a fan that is both stylish and functional was quite the task. This acrylic and brass fan didn’t have any reviews so I took a chance on it. Surprisingly it works great with over seven settings. I love how the acrylic and brass coordinates with our side table hardware. RUG I love all the neutral colors of this antelope inspired rug. - Size 8x11 WINDOW TREATMENTS
We did wood plantation colors that were painted in the same color as the trim. Our drapes are a white linen fabric and were custom made through our designer, Melissa DeMore. PAINT COLORS
