Paint is one of the easiest and most cost effective ways to update your space. Finding the right color for your home is another story.
When building or renovating a home you’re faced with many decisions. Choosing the right paint color can be a little daunting in fact I remember having six different shades of white on one wall. I would poll my friends to see which they liked best and of course they looked almost identical. In our last three homes I’ve used some version of white, here are some of my go-to whites including the one we used.
One of my most frequently asked questions regarding our home is paint colors. If you have followed along in our home tour you know that the interior is mostly white with a few exceptions including our master. The interior color we used is Benjamin Moore Simply White. It’s a classic and crisp white that's perfect for both walls and trim.
If you prefer a light, bright and airy look I suggest keeping the walls and trim the same color which is exactly what we did. The walls are SW in a flat sheen and the trim is SW in a semi-gloss sheen.
If you remember my kitchen post we did the same thing, all of our cabinetry is simply white. We kept the same semi-gloss finish so the cabinets could seamlessly meet the trim.
And before you ask about the exterior, you guessed it - Simply White. It’s 'simply' the perfect white for both inside and out.
Do you have a favorite go to color, if so please share!
